things that make you go hmm...

The US government is sending over 350 million in aid to tsunami victims, which is great. But we're spending one billion a week in Iraq.

Let's not forget what is happening in Iraq! Five more US troops were killed today and the governor of Baghdad was assasinated.

Really, this is unbelieveable. U.S. government spend many dolars to take other country. Really, I think than George w. Bush is a new emperor of World. And, this is wrong. Where is United Nations?

I agree with D. This U.S. government is "Gov't of the rich by the rich, for the rich". And peoples and countries than aren't richs, suffer an injury: military attaqs. Is the End of the World, or the end of Bush's government!

The whole irony of this is that if you look at some of the images of the devastation in Southeast Asia and the cities look like in Iraq, they pretty much look the same. One reporter on ABC had described the destroyed buildings and piles of bodies in Indonesia as, "a warzone."

It's nice to think that we live in a country that can create the same chaotic mess similar to a natural disaster.

As far as Iraq is concerned, I think that the only weapons we will ever find there are left overs from what we sold to them to defeat Iran with. That was a pretty long war too, Probably has something to do with the fact that we also sold the same weapons to Iran. Warin my opinion, is just business.AS our need for newer weapons developes we sell our obsolete weapons to to two neighboring countries. Do a couple things to make them mad at each other and use the profits from the ensuing war to develope new weapons that we can sell later.Notice that we don't outsource our weapons manufacturing jobs. I'm sure China or Japan could build them cheaper. That is unless we start using illegal mexican aleians to build them for us right here at home. How about a post or two on a subject we can actually do something about as regular citizens. vanderwilly.blogspot.com
