Nothing cheeky about Sudan

Olympic 500-meter skater Joey Cheek said this after winning a gold medal in Torino this week:

"I love what I do...It's a great job. I've seen the entire world, and I've met amazing friends...But honestly, it's a pretty ridiculous thing. I mean, I skate around the ice in tights, all right?

Funny guy, that Cheek. After commenting on what the government has called genocide in the Darfur region of Sudan, the olympian donated his $25,000 to a child refugee program in Chad.

Pretty classy move for a guy who's skated in circles since 1994. But man, is $25,000 all olympians make for a gold? Jeez.
